Release 36 of Ensembl Genomes is scheduled for August 2017. Briefly,
this release will include the following:<br>
<ul>
<li>Ensembl Metazoa: updated cross-references</li>
<li>Ensembl Protists: automated gene annotation update, PHI-base
4.3 annotation</li>
<li>Ensembl Fungi: new automatic genome imports from ENA with
PHI-base 4.3 annotation, new <i>Beauveria bassiana ARSEF</i>
8028 genome, updated peptide pipeline</li>
<li>Ensembl Plants: new genomes for <i>Corchorus capsularis</i>
(Jute) and <i>Manihot esculenta</i> (Cassava), updated <i>Sorghum
bicolor</i> genome, alignment-based cross references to
UniProt and RefSeq, automatic ncRNA gene annotations and updated
comparative genomics to incorporate new genomes<br>

<li>General: updated protein features and BioMarts</li>
</ul>
