Hi Guillermo,<br>
<br>
Ensembl imports the GO annotations every release, in an ensembl
compatible schema.<br>
We then add available GO symbols as external references for
translations.<br>
These are represented on the web page in the 'Ontology graph' and
'Ontology table' tab for transcripts with translations.<br>

This is supported as part of our core API, using the module
OntologyTermAdaptor and OntologyTerm.<br>

Hope that helps,<br>

Hello dear developers,<br>
<br>
I would like to add some information from Gene Ontology DB (
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1">
<a moz-do-not-send="true" href="http://www.geneontology.org/">http://www.geneontology.org/</a>)
as a VEP plugin.<br>
<br>
I've been looking Ensembl API and it doesn't seem to support any
information form GO. Correct me if I'm wrong. <br>
<br>
The bad thing about that is that GO API seems very tricky to me.
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1">
<a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.geneontology.org/GO.database.shtml#perl">http://www.geneontology.org/GO.database.shtml#perl</a><br>
<br>
If you confirm me that Ensembl has nothing to do to query GO
I'll go into Gene Ontology forums or mailing list to ask more
about the GO API.<br>
<br>
Thank you.<br>
<br>
Best regards,<br>
Guillermo.<br>
