Hello David,<br>
<br>
If you've the Ensembl Exon ID you can query it's rank, supposing
you're using BioMart:<br>
This is a logical approach Gene ID -> Transcript ID -> Exon ID
-> Exon Rank<br>
<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.ensembl.org/biomart/martview/787d31359f27ce07ff49c75236f027b0">http://www.ensembl.org/biomart/martview/787d31359f27ce07ff49c75236f027b0</a><br>
<br>
<br>
If you've exon ID list you can go straight to get it's rank.<br>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1">
<pre style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; widows: auto; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;">$query->addAttribute("rank");</pre>
<br>
Best regards,<br>
Guillermo.<br>

developers,

<br>
Is there a way, from an exon stable identifier, to get its rank
within a particular transcript using the Ensembl Core API ,
without comparing start and end positions?
<br>
Many thanks in advance for any tips,
